September 12th to May 17th, 2017


Kibbutz Ein Dor: A learning community - September 12th - December 8th, 2017
  • Living and working on Kibbutz
  • Exploring a new topic every week
    (Humanistic Judaism, Zionism, the Middle-East and the Israeli-Arab Conflict, Social Change, Chinuch, Economics, Sustainability...)
  • Hebrew Language Learning  twice a week 
  • Tours around Israel and Tyulim in the nature
  • Educational project in nearby Arab village and or partnership in building a new Ken in Afula


Communa - Collective Life, Social Action and Ulpan - December 8th - May 17th , 2017
Communa א "Coexistence & Leadership"  ----  Communa  ב "Israeli Society & Hagshama"
  • Living and settling for 6 months in Haifa
  • Living communally
    The first two months with Spanish speaking Shomrim and then building the intimate "Shnat Tsafon" kvutza
  • 6 months of social work with non-profit organizations to have a real impact
  • Leadership and Mediation skills workshops
  • Personal Projects building workshops: Hagshama and Leadership in action
  • Meeting with local "Change Makers" on a weekly basis
  • Day trips and "mini machanot" of a few days all over Israel discovering an Israeli reality and community

Choosing your morning focus:
Maslul Ulpan : 5 months of Intensive Ulpan in a State institute: 5 days a week from 8:00 to 13:00
Maslul Social Action: Volunteer in local schools bringing shomeric chinuch to teaching English and sharing your culture

Year Highlights Include...
  • Masa L'Polin - 7 day historic and educational journey to Poland
  • Tiyul Channukah - 5 day hike in the desert with members of Hashomer Hatzair Israel
  • Seminars - Partnering with Meretz, J Street, Bina, Pardes...
  • Volunteering in social organizations in Israel which may include: community centers of Hashomer Hatzair, Arab-Jewish co-existence projects, centers for youth at risk, and more...
  • Meet people from all over Israel including Kibbutzniks, foreign workers, activists, Palestinian-Israelis, alternative communities builders, and many others...
  • Trips around Israel including hikes in the desert, seeing ancient ruins, and visiting many of the unique and wonderful cities and towns throughout the country
  • The year program ends with a 1 week-long closing process of conclusion, hagshama and planning the future...
