Staff and Supervision
The Kvutza will have connections to a number of adults and young adults specifically in place to fulfill various roles in the participant’s lives.
- Program Coordinator and Madricha:
Shanna Orlik is responsible for the English Speaking Shnat Program in cooperation with Elad Shani who is the Director of the European and Australian Department Her role includes responsibilities over the educational process, well-being and safety of the participants as well as logistics. She is also in direct contact with the Shnaties through out their their time in Israel as their madricha to help facilitate kvutza life, individual growth, and the community work the participants do. She will be there for the participants at the personal and kvutza levels, to answer all questions, support them and make this year the most meaningful and relevant it can be for them.
- Director of the European and Australian Department:
Elad Shani is the member the World Movement Hanagah responsible for the oversight of the program. Elad takes part in the participants’ educational process, helps them become the leaders of the movement they want to be and will be working directly with them when they will finish the program and be working in their respective kenim. Elad can answer safety and logistical questions before and during the program and is directly in contact with all the shlichim.
- Local Organizers:
Each country has a local Shaliach or Program Coordinator that will be available to handle issues that come up as well, and will be in contact with the group from Australia.
- Machon Staff:
The kvutza will be under the supervision of Machon staff during the first chapter of their program. The Machon staff will include teachers as well as madrichim figures. Machon staff and Hashomer Hatzair staff will be in close communication. You will receive communications from Machon directly regarding this portion of the program.
- Partners: The kvutza will encounter a number of adults who will play a wide array of roles along their journey, from principals of schools, to ulpan (Hebrew school) coordinators, to host families on kibbutz. They will all be working in coordination with the Madrichim and Program Coordinator.
