“It's very hard for me to put into words how Shnat changed my life because it really did completely change the course of my life for the better: it opened my eyes to the world of travel, of being outside my comfort zone in a new place with a different culture, learning to navigate and find commonalities with those I met, and learning about myself in the process."

Program Cost and Scholarships

Cost and Scholarships
Program participants are generally allotted a scholarship from the Jewish Agency, through MASA, and each participant has an opportunity to apply for a needs-based MASA Scholarship. To find out more about the cost of your program and access scholarships from MASA you can find out more here.
As well, many organizations (including Jewish schools, synagogues and foundations) are often interested in funding individuals to participate in Israel Programs, and there are numerous grants that can be applied for by young Jewish leaders. You should talk with your local Shaliach/a (Hashomer Hatzair Movement Director) for more information on seeking out additional support.
